I guess PL got too much criticism for omitting this basic feature. Keystone correction built in, no need for Viewpoint? Wide gamut means a switch from AdobeRGB to ProPhotoRGB (?) as we requested here. My first reaction is that there don't seem to be any major new features, though the cloning tool seems much improved. There's a short intro video on the site about PL6, as well as ViewPoint 4 (with warping) and ReShape. PL6 has long been expected on October 19 (or perhaps 26). I see on the DXO site there is a new announcement coming. I wonder is they put it up on the web prematurely? It's on the usual Wednesday, but a couple of weeks earlier than expected. But I don't see any mention of the usual 30% launch discount, and nor have a received an email. Yes, could be, though the BF discounted price is always the cheapest available all year, even if the margin is lower than it seems. I have vague memory that the upgrade discount shrinks shortly before a BF deal so making the BF deal only a little bit more attractive compared to the current(?) upgrade price! I'm sure there will be a BF discount, but it's a gamble to wait till then. I don't see any mention of a launch discount. The upgrade discount seems to be 55% (ie, an existing user pays 45% of the price). Though I wonder(have yet to login) what the upgrade price will be and whether Black Friday discounts will be available and how they will compare with the upgrade discount? The short video appears to show/ talk about some significant additions/improvements.
